Q. Why a Service Center? 

The Service Center assimilates tools that are aligned with the ePSA/RosettaNet required framework including all the rules, upgrades, maintenance, and specifications of RosettaNet and ePSA. The Service Center acts on behalf of the industry so firms can trade electronically with other firms with a one stop virtual shop of everything needed to begin trading documents.

Q. Do I have to be an ePSA Member firm to implement the standards?

No.  The Standards are based on RosettaNet and are open.  The Service Center offers ePSA members super discounts and special package pricing, however, to facilitate easier entry into the world of standards. 

Q. How is the Service Center related to ePSA?

The ePSA Service Center is a subsidiary of ePSA and is managed by its own Board and staff.

Q. What Does It Cost To Get Started?

It depends.  There are several paths and everyone’s needs and approach will different. The Service Center will help you decide your path based on your current resources and priorities, and will offer bundled packages to help your firm get started in the most economical and efficient way. Q. What Hardware Requirements Do I need to Implement ePSA Standards?

      Internet access

      Computer (can be desktop or Server)Order Management Procedures, data, or back office program

Q. What is the Methodology of ePSA Standards through the Service Center? 

 

The Service Center assists all firms in mapping or aligning their order data to the

requirements of the PIP.  Data files should be XML, but solutions are available to allow

for flat file delivery as well.  The Service Center resells solutions that are ePSA compliant

and certified. Each solutions takes a file, converts it to XML if needed, executes

RosettaNet specific tasks for security and compliant delivery of the document, and

delivers the document across the Internet to the trading partner. Messaging and

confirmation are business rules that are part of the transport standard.
